Sansi, quick question. It's the AI era now — how do you write your weekly reports?
I tried having AI write mine, but what it produced was way too vague.
Haha, I used to do the same. I'd throw "help me write my weekly report" at AI, and it made things up worse than what I actually did.
The problem is, AI has no idea what you actually did.
Fair point. So how did you solve it?
My current setup is a bit unusual.
I keep every prompt I use during the day in one document, have AI turn those prompts into a daily log, and the daily logs roll up into the weekly report.
Wait, logging prompts every day? Isn't that a huge hassle? What for?
Haha, it really didn't start as a weekly-report thing. I was forced into it.
You know I mostly do multi-agent coding, several windows open at once, and this kept happening:
a prompt meant for Agent A ends up pasted into B.
And then?
Then B goes off, dead serious, working on A's task. It almost refactored a module I had just finished, and I had to run back and put out the fire.
Hahaha, a work injury in real time.
Right?! So I learned my lesson:
prompts no longer go straight into a window. They all go into a markdown document first, and when I need one, I paste that section to the right agent.
After doing this for a while it hit me: wait, the prompts in this document ARE the work I do every day.
Ohh, I get it. Once the prompts pile up, your work content exists automatically — the daily and weekly reports just fall out.
Exactly. The weekly report isn't something I "write" — it settles out as a byproduct of doing the work.
